NEVER GIVE UP

Image result for NEVER GIVE UPEverything we see around us has a life span. We see trees today and tomorrow they are no more. We live with loved ones and cherish them all our lives, only to wake up one day and see them no more. We grow bitter when bad things happen to us and many of us give up because we do not see any light at the end of the tunnel. People who encounter setbacks in life quit when things don´t go as planned. Little do they know that no condition is permanent.
Yes, time changes and we need to understand that fact. Everything that we see has a life span.  No matter how bad a situation may be, it surely has a life span. The wisest king to live on earth wrote in his book, Ecclesiastes, that there is a time and season for everything.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
This clearly demonstrates how God has given expiry dates to things we find on earth. In my short lifetime, i have witnessed people who had nothing in life becoming prosperous. i have seen people who squeezed water out of rocks to get one square meal a day, feeding multitudes. Those who were naked now owned boutiques and names of people who were written off in life were now on the lips of all and sundry.

Things can change if you believe in yourself. No matter what you are going through in life, suffer it to be so now. You might be born a pauper but you can choose not to die as one. You might be born with a wooden ladle in your mouth but you can choose to put a golden spoon in the mouth of your children.

John the Baptist told Jesus Christ that it was not right for him to baptise the Messiah. In actual fact, the messiah was to baptise John, but Christ told him;

“And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.”
  Matthew 3:15
He knew that John had to baptise Him so that scriptures will be fulfilled. You must also allow what you are going through to be a history that you will share one day.

Suffer it to be so now as you are seriously praying for a child after years of barrenness. Suffer it to be so now as you have your degree but still remain jobless. Suffer it to be so now as you have done all you could to let men stay in your life, but they end up disappointing you. Time changes my dear. No condition is permanent. When your faith is tried, you need to remain stronger so that you can overcome the storm. The sailer does not run away from the storm when he encounters it, he faces it till the storm calms down. Do not run away from the storm in your life. Face it and hit it strongly, because the very storm that scares you is the storm that sails your ship faster.

What they did not realise is that they did not uproot your faith totally. They allowed things to make your faith shake. You need a small faith like that of the mustard seed as the basis to build your tomorrow.

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.”
  Job 14:7-9
You just need the scent of water to sprout up again. You just need inspiration not to give up on your dreams. That problem has an expiry date. It won´t last forever, you just have to endure to the end. Do not give up even when you make a mistake that cost you everything you have worked for. Learn from the mistake and move on because there will be the break of a new dawn.

You might not see the light at the end of the tunnel, but still keep pressing on. Keep on digging, for all you may know, you will strike the vein that contains the gold by striking the ground one last time.
