COMMON MISTAKES AMONG BELIEVERS ( PART ONE)

For sometime now, i have come to realise that many believers don´t receive answers to their prayers, just because they don´t really understand the concept of prayer. This piece is not to talk about everything about prayer. I will highlight only on some common mistakes many Christians do.

God is not moved by the number of hours you pray as a Christian. What moves Him is the faith you have in your prayers. Many Christians spend hours praying to God but end up not receiving answers, just because they leave with unbelief. Some Christians pray to draw pity from God. They tell God about their problems for hours. The hard truth is this; God is not moved by the problems you tell Him. He already knows those problems you are bringing. He is not a hub for problem collection. There is nowhere in the bible that Jesus Christ asked the sick what was wrong with them. He never asked anyone the cause of their predicament. Jesus Christ always made it simple, by just asking, ´´what do you want me to do for you``? The reply they gave is what he always wants us to tell him in prayer.

´´And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.´´
Mark 10:51-52

Many christians act like the impotent man that laid beside the pool. Jesus Christ asked him whether he wanted to be well again

´´And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?´´
John 5:5-6
 and like a 21st Century christian,he replied:
 ´´The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.´´
John 5:7
This man started telling Jesus Christ about his problems. He was trying to draw pity from the Messiah. He was just wasting his own precious time. The longer he stayed complaining, the longer his predicaments persisted. Jesus Christ had to just cut him short.
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
     John 5:8


Never go before God praying about your problems. The more you pray about your problems, the easier the devil holds you in bondage to those problems. The doctor will always ask,``what is wrong with you?``This is because he does not know of your predicaments and you need to describe it to him before he can diagnose you. God is not like that ; He knows your problems but cannot come in to help if you don´t invite Him. 

It is a waste of time to pray about the problems as you go before God. Don´t waste your time again. Go straight to what you want Him to do for you. Don´t waste your time saying, ´´Lord, i have headache and i cannot eat well. I am in a relationship and i always get broken-hearted. This is my seventh guy who i have sent home. The curse in my mother´s house is affecting me…..``This is just a waste of precious time. Jesus Christ knew everything about the woman of Samaria beside the well (John 4:18)

This is the solution to your problem today:
´´Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. ``
Mark 11:24
This means that you must PRAY ONLY WHAT YOU DESIRE. Don´t pray the problem, pray for what you want God to do for you.

Every lady has a love language and that makes her feel loved. This love language will make her know that she means the world to you. A man is always happy when his spouse is happy.
