Everything happens based on time. Pregnancy matures based on time. Trees bear their fruits according to the time and seasons. A lady even accepts a man´s proposal using the time factor. Whether he will accept your proposal instantly or not is based on time. In life, everything takes time. Anything you see on the face of the planet that doesn’t take time loses its essence or importance. A pregnancy that does not stand the time required ends up developing complications. Have you ever heard the story about the special egg? If not, i will epitomise it for you to have a fair knowledge of the subject. A farmer found a strange egg on his way to the house from the farm. He added the egg to the ones laid by his domestic fowl. After the period of incubation, all the eggs hatched and the farmer got day old chicks. The strange egg ,unknowingly, was that of an eagle. This eaglet remained in the farmers house, went out and came in, in  the company of the chicks.   Life is full of ups and downs. Today, you will be on top but that does not guarantee your position tomorrow. Everyday has its own issues but the greatest of it all is how we react when we face the storms of life. Man has been created unique different from one another. How i will handle a situation is very different from how you will react to the same issue. In the midst of the storm, a lot of ideas come to mind. Some will prefer to run away, others will prefer to stay and fight. While some will prefer to remain calm, others allow their adrenaline to make them react in a hasty manner. Our understanding of religion will always make us remain where we are whiles they are always ahead of us. They brought us the bible, taught us about religion but we ended up knowing more in our eyes, than them. It is not that we know more about what they taught us ,for a servant can never be greater than his master (John 13:16);however, we have copied blindly to the extent that we want this concept of religion to put food on the table for us. Why will we close our shops four days in a week and expect an increase, all in the name of , we are being more spiritual? Prayer is very vital in the life of every believer. This is because it is the only medium we can get access to God and have our needs met. Some people, however, have moved from the level of belief to the state of being more religious than being spiritual. To some Christians, being spiritual means having the ability to pray at all times, listening to gospel songs, preaching tapes and attending church always. I bet to differ. Spirituality has nothing to do with going to church or listening to tapes. Spirituality has to do with your stance before God. If you do all the afore-mentioned and man sees you to be spiritual, but before God you are nowhere near him, then where lies your spirituality? This mistake is what i term , being religious. For sometime now, i have come to realise that many believers don´t receive answers to their prayers, just because they don´t really understand the concept of prayer. This piece is not to talk about everything about prayer. I will highlight only on some common mistakes many Christians do. God is not moved by the number of hours you pray as a Christian. What moves Him is the faith you have in your prayers. Many Christians spend hours praying to God but end up not receiving answers, just because they leave with unbelief. Some Christians pray to draw pity from God. They tell God about their problems for hours. The hard truth is this; God is not moved by the problems you tell Him. He already knows those problems you are bringing. He is not a hub for problem collection. There is nowhere in the bible that Jesus Christ asked the sick what was wrong with them.
